6 (0x6) Failed to map URL to local path

Description

The URL does not match a physical path.

This error can be compared to the error 12 (resource not found), but error 6 indicates that the problem has occurred not in the end portion of the URL. For example it will occur if the path is:
C:\path1\path2\file.asp
and you use URL:
alp://non-existentpath/path2/file.asp
while the error 12 will occur if only the file name portion of the URL is incorrect. 

Probable causes

Check the link, form that invokes the request and see if the URL is correctly composed there.
